Chi Junky® is expanding its front desk team seeking a driven, inspiring and high energy front desk lead to develop and uphold an exceptional customer experience. This dynamic position requires a high level of professionalism and exceptional customer service skills.

About Chi Junky

Chi Junky® is Toronto’s premier boutique movement studio located in the east end of Toronto in Leslieville. Our 4,000 square foot studio is a newly renovated space which prides itself on stunning design and attention to detail. It includes two practice studios, two treatment rooms, client lounge and retail. Our mission is to provide a welcoming space to transform physically and emotionally through movement and music. Chi Junky is a unique studio haven known for curating an exceptional movement experience with signature classes from Sweat Flow to Zen Vibes Only and everything in between. Each class offers premium full service amenities with killer playlists and top instruction. Our studio is rooted in building a supportive community and giving back through various charities, making movement accessible and welcoming all to step into their Chi.

Role Expectations:

Reporting to the studio manager, they will be responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of Chi Junky are seamless. They are a customer service champion and will be the point-of-contact for our clients and team members.

You have previously worked in a customer service sales based business, and understand the importance of excellent communication and customer service. You love accomplishing goals, developing processes, mentoring, and keeping your work tasks organized. You have a keen eye for cleanliness, attention to detail, and are a positive and friendly face at the front desk. 

A great team player, you’re organized and willing to work in unison with the team on shift. You take feedback pragmatically, address concerns in a timely and professional manner, and work to implement solutions for progressive growth. You care about nurturing our studio community and ensuring the studio experience runs efficiently to deliver a consistent and exceptional experience for staff and clients. 

Key Skills

  • Mindbody experience a plus 

  • Exceptional communication skills 

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Self-starter and highly motivated with a problem solving attitude

  • Consistent display of good judgment and initiative

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to adapt to an ever growing facility 

  • Welcoming, friendly, professional, and inclusive demeanour

  • No job is too small attitude 

  • Leadership experience a plus 

Responsibilities 

Studio Operations

  • Ensure front desk operates impeccably; assisting with managing front desk & check-in 

  • Mindbody management - members class bookings and accounts

  • Opening and closing studio and setting up for class as required (based on proposed schedule)

  • Service and retail sales

  • Managing housekeeping to ensure studio appears clean with exceptional attention to detail

  • Actively working with the management team to create and maintain an energetic, positive, and inspiring work environment

Client Services

  • Effectively communicate the studio’s mission, class programming, and membership options to prospective members

  • Manage all client facing communications - in-person (while on site) and answering the phone.

  • Build relationships with members and assist with their membership needs and billing process

  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Sell retail merchandise 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in boutique wellness or luxury fitness. 

  • 2-3 years experience in customer service sales 

  • MindBody Online system experience a plus

Must be available for the following:

  • Wednesday: 11:00-1:30PM + 4:30-10:15PM 

  • Thursday: 11:00-1:30PM + 4:30-10:15PM 

  • Friday: 11:00-1:30PM + 4:30-9:00PM 

  • Occasional Saturday + Sunday
